Hi,
For the archtop builders- do you run your truss rod all the way through the neck extension ie the length of the fingerboard?
Or stop at the neck join (14th fret)?
The typical acoustic 2 way truss rods are 100mm too long and I can think of all sorts of reasons to not have up/down pressure on the fingerboard extension.
But doesn't stopping the rod at the neck join open up the possibility of a 'neck hump?"
Benedetto and Co seem to do it this way.
Any experience or comments much appreciated

Re: Archtop Truss Rod
I stop mine near the extension joint. I make my own and they're just a single action truss rod not dual action.
