You have got to wonder what sort of nasty hardware is being hidden under those three MOP dots? This thing has really had its face punched in at some stage.

Oh, there is nothing (where the bridge was). I am sure that being a (even though self declared?) "Master of nothing" you will master this!

I can only imagine with amusement , the thought process behing that initial "repair" , Bridge lift's after going for the next Octave on every string , whilst using 13 - 56 strings , bridge meets Nut , owner says I get Johno to take a look he knows a guy , who drinks with a bloke that once watched a guy change some strings so he knows all about guitars , and besides he's a Plumber , Johno takes a look , gets out the stanley knife , says what this needs is some reinforcment , got some 12mm ply I use under dunnies , we'll sikaflex that in, she will be right , and then we can cover that excess sikaflex with some plastic off that old lawn mower catcher over there , Proper JOB !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just a slightly enlarged Maton pickup hole isn't it. No problem.

Think you've found the cause of the bridge tilt Steve. Not sure it'll buff out though  .

I actually know the guy personally. Hes a really nice bloke, definetly the aussie give it a go type.

Hes tried but was not getting anywhere as you can see. (2k tanglewood), but hey its his guitar.

I explain to a lot of people when it comes down to luthier work, its not having tools that makes the difference, but respect for the wood. Most things can be done with a hot knife / scraper and some sand paper

You can see here the different types of braces hes put underneath, but the fact hes cut the old braces off to put them in and then the old braces were not attached properly doesnt help either.

It will be purty again

Looks like he has something against rosewood bridge patches as well. "Who the hell put that bit of brown wood on there? I don't want it there messing up the nice white wood of the top. I'll just hack it off with me trusty butter knife and an old screw driver"

The "Tanglewood" inlay on the headstock needs some work....should read "Manglewood".

I find it interesting to get a look at the top bracing (what's left of it) in a mass produced guitar. Common approach re layout and scalloping, but assuming braces are q/s and reasonably stiff, they still have a fair bit of meat on them - the safe approach in a mass produced setting.
