I've sent a PDF of the orders to Bob, so he can have a direct link to it on the server. When it's posted can you please check your order over and confirm to me if it is correct, or changes necessary.

PM me your full name and address details if you've never participated in a group buy before. If you have, no need for your details. I've got them on record.

Hi Allen, I dont see me on this list, I was contacted and responded, but I was worried if you got the message or not. I'll do it again here if it's not too late.

Ok, Ok disregard the above message. I thought it strange if I was not on the list, as you are a very organised guy, so I checked again and in my rush I overlooked my entry. I think I expected it on the bottom of the list as I was possible last one in, sorry. Thanks for your efforts Allen. As from next Friday I will be in, at least on my way to, SA on holidayposs 4 weeks, but will try to maintain contact, but maybe not as frequently as the last couple of weeks.

Thanks for those of you that have forwarded your contact details. I've not heard of anyone saying that I stuffed up the order list as yet.

I've contacted Todd at Allied and gave him a brief rundown of the order and asked if he's got enough stock to cover it or do we need to wait. I've not heard back from him as yet, but will keep you updated.

Hey Allen,

If not too late can I jump in with 1 x 13" + 2 x 14" + 2 x 17"

If I'm too late that's fine mate, I have plenty of rods. Just thought if the FB order is still to arrive and your going to wait and send all at once I may as well join in and get the best value from the freight.

Cheers

Mr Ying

You're in Kim.

The group buy is now closed.

I've sent the list off to Allied. Todd has informed me that he should have enough stock on hand if the order is placed soon. Otherwise it will be a couple of months.

When I get the response back I'll try and calculate what everyone owes in $AU and I'll PM you my bank details. As the exchange rate is pretty good right now, I'd like to get this done soon.

Hi Allen, I'm away for the next month so I have put some money in your account, same one as fretboards. I'll fix up any difference before you have to freight them. Thanks.

Todd has responded that he'll let me know as soon as he hears from his suppliers. I guess we went over what he had in stock. I've calculated out what everyone will owe in $US based on the $10 pricing for the standard rods, and $11 for the bass rods.

I'll let this go for a few days, and hopefully he'll get back to me. If not then I'll touch base with him again.

Allied has got a reply from their suppliers. This is the email that I received today.
Hi Allen,
Yes, just a day or so ago, they said the ship date will be end of June or early July, which means I won't have them here until late July at best.

I have plenty of everything but for the PTR2W the standard acoustic rod. I can ship everything but that, and follow up with those, when they come in. (And price can be the same)

Will await your comments.

Best,

Todd
So, what's the consensus? Do we get a partial order, and then wait for the remainder, or just hold off until everything is in stock for 1 shipment?

Thanks for thew heads-up. :)

I've got enough rods at present to get me through, so
I'm in no hurry for a split order, Allen.

Hey Allen, if we split the order up it will be a bit more work for you so that is the only limiting factor in my mind. If you don't mind or we can share the work load lets get half now. The dollar is not bad at around 71 and it is more likely to fall than to rise as a guess. So I am happy to take the chance and pay up now and get the rods as they are available.
Cheers and thanks

I'll go with what ever, pay now @ 71c to the USD and wait to get all at once in one shipment is fine and dandy with me and probably the cheapest option, or split the order, it's all good.

Jeers

The exchange is at a pretty decent point at the moment. It's just blind hope that we're going to see much better, so I'm not adverse to the idea of paying up for the order now, and going either way with the shipping. I've got enough stock on hand to keep me out of trouble until the end of July - August.

I'm going to make the decision to go ahead and get the partial order shipped. I'll let Todd know that will be our plan.

Expect a PM with my bank details, and the approximate cost of your order.

There will be a difference in the currency transaction rate from the calculator and what is actually charged by the bank. This will get straightened out at the end of the deal.

EDIT:

Ok, I've PM'd everyone on the list with their totals, except Taffy, who has already given a deposit before he went on a holiday.

The exchange rate was calculated on XE.com and was at 0.7349, This is better than what the bank is going to give, so there is going to be a difference in what is actually calculated, and there will be a foreign currency transaction fee, and of course the USPS shipping cost.

I'm just letting those new to group buys in on what to expect. The veterans already know the drill.

Please let me know when you've made the bank transfer, so I can keep track. If your bank will allow, include your name or some way of letting me know, as the list of people involved is pretty long, with many having the same deposit amount.
