New Addition to the Family

Post by Paul B » Sat Dec 20, 2008 8:28 am

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd announce that yesterday afternoon my wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy. His name is James Burns (sounds like a brand of scotch whiskey, huh?). Mother and bub are doing well.

They gave her some meds to bring on contractions, and a bit too much in my opinion (contractions lasting for 10 - 15 minutes - til they stopped the meds) The labour only lasted 3 hours, but it was pretty hellish for the missus, and definitly rougher on her than the 14 hours that she had with our daughter.

Anyway, no more kids after that one, we've got one of each, and we figure (barring accidents) that will do nicely.

I'll post some pics later today.

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks to all. Had to go out and buy a new camera today, still learning how to use it. The only pic I managed to take involved breast feeding.

So, in order that I keep my nuts out of the jar, I'll post some other pics once I get this new fangled contraption sorted out.

Cheers,

Paul

Great news indeed Paul. And I'm going to find a nice bottle of Scotch to have a toast to young James.

Cheers Mate.

Hello, little James Burns. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, James—God damn it, you've got to be kind. (With apologies to K. Vonnegut)

Congratulations, Paul and family!

Congratulations.......I'll drink to that.

When I saw the title of your post I thought you had bought a new machine or something, this is much better news, either way you're gonna be busy.

I dont normally check the posts this far down the list, glad I did.
