This morning I checked out the glove box of my Subaru rental and found the manual so i could work out what the buttons on the transmission do.

Found the manual.....Japanese. Lucky for me I read enough Japanese to be able to work out what the buttons do.

Wont be using this rental company again.

1. Mazda2 - current car is a Mazda and quality of build is good.
2. Toyota Yaris
3. Toyota Corolla - reliable car but in the new models the gear stick is in a stupid place - reminds me of one of those Gestapo Staff Cars.
4. Subaru
toyotas and mazdas are both nice but personally i'd go with the gestapo staff car. the benefits clearly outway the cons.

-no parking fines
-driver included
-free monocle
-one of those funny pointy hand guns
-the option to have any constable that pulls you over "reassigned"

I was actually trying to find one of those German cars that looked like they were made from corrugated iron but google let me down for once

How about a nice Merc? http://www.carlist.com/blog/?p=491 (watch the vid!) Plenty of room for Tonewood in the back of that little beauty.
