I wonder what exposure like this is worth? Prime time, but a "supporting cast" rather than a feature (eg: verse a documentary on building ukes for example). Obviously there is brand awareness etc, but I wonder if spots on tv like this generate interest? All interest is good interest, but how much gets through? Always been curious about this sort of stuff.
We got offered a spot on a hit series in the USA, to supply guitars to the main character (a guitarist). We had a fan in the props department who just wanted to get access to our guitars I think, so made the suggestion. Then some other brand came through and offered $50k USD for the same thing
Oh well, I dont like country music anyway!

Of the two ukes in the clip Allen's one stands out with its elegance and distinctive inlay work.....the other uke looks a bit dull in comparison.

Re: Allen's ukes on Australia's got Talent
Both ukes are mine. Bosko's is a 5 string one and has been played to death since I built it for him. Pictures in the Gallery.
He's a street artist drawing for tourists in Kuranda using charcoal, and when he's waiting for the next commission, he's playing that uke. It would get a few hours of play every day, and has built up a patina that you'd expect in something 100 years old.
And they are exactly like you see them in the lead up to their performance. Quirky and a lot of fun.

Whoops.......sorry Allen. I was checking out some other clips and in those Bosko was playing a similar looking uke that wasnt one one of yours. Anyway regardless...I like Honey's uke.
BTW my Japanese wife loves Honey's crazy antics...."not typical Japanese" was a comment she made.

He also plays a 4 string concert that I think is made by Kiwia, but is only available in Japan. Not a flashy instrument, but it does sound and play great.
Yes, Honey is always going 110%. Her enthusiasm knows no bounds.
