Good on ya's!

That Obama speach was totally kick ass.

Best bit for me was when he spoke about not increasing America's security at the expense of America's values. Thomas Jefferson said something similiar back in his day.

The man certainly can talk the talk. Hope he can measure up to the presidents that he seems to have been inspired by. God knows the world needs someone who can.

The weight of expectation on his this guy is amazing. Still he put his hand up. Sebastiaan's first law of politics "the piper must be paid", I just dont know who the piper is...

I thought it was a terrific speech as well.

Thank you gentlemen! :)

I have to admit that it's been exciting to watch and more importantly a testiclemonial to democracy with a peaceful change of leadership and some down right classy moments too.

Even though 1.75 million people attended the festivities in Washington DC the police announced that they did not make a single arrest! That's never happened before either and is a good thing.

Interestingly I sat in a waiting room of a doc's office yesterday and struck up a conversation with another bloak. This guy had not voted for Obama, called himself a republican, had lost his entire retirement in the stock market crash, was laid off from his job of 20 years with the phone company, and his wife had just left him.

Regardless he said that the more that he watches Obama and the transition the more "hopeful" he became for better times. How's that for a positive attitude? I was impressed and even though he gave me a weird look when I indicated that it's not all bad as evidenced by the departing wife..... :D we kind of became friends and exchanged phone numbers and he wants to come over and see my guitars. :)

Like him or not and regardless of if some folks voted for President Obama or not there is a LOT of hope here in the states and hope is a good thing.

Anyway thanks for the congrats M8s.
