Sharing a recent student build.
Owen just finished his Ebony and Spruce OM. Falcate braced. Nitro finish. She's a stunner.
This is Owen's 4th guitar built at my school.

Wow, that is a real head-turner!. The colours and the finish are stunning. Is it heavy? How is ebony to bend?

Very nice. Is that satin on front and gloss everywhere else? Lovely

Correct. Nitro.
I keep the amount on the soundboard to an absolute minimum (reduce mass). So never do glossy soundboards (except with shellac on occasion).

Not too heavy. Well not any more noticeable then say a Rosewood guitar.
African ebony is not as difficult to bend as you'd think. Yeah its hard, but we can get there. Even students can do it around a hot pipe by hand. Have also done the odd cutaway with it, although with some difficulty.
Sides thicknessed to 2.1mm.
Iron must be very very hot.
Soak for a few hours in water. Change this to boiling water for the last 5mins and away you go.
