Hi, here are a couple of older builds, Resonator guitars. One is made entirely of 3mm plywood, possibly from Bunnings, with a NGR neck. I was very surprised at the quality of the sound. I built it for myself as an experiment, but when I was made an offer I could not refuse, I had to let it go.

The other was a commission using the same body plan. I used NGR for the top and neck, and some old Silky Oak for the back and sides, which were reclaimed from antique wardrobe doors. Both are square-neck lap slide guitars.

Beautiful! I’d love to have a go at a resonator some day, although there’s a lot of appeal in a brass bodied one. Maybe if I ever get decent at slide guitar…
