Earlex spray unit
Hello all
The Albany lads are wondering if anyone has used, reviewed or have an opinion on the "Earlex HVLP PRO" spray unit.
They are priced at $579 in the Carbatec catalogue .....
Regards Peter

I think they serve a purpose, I have owned ones like it, there is no nozzle control there is no fluid tip size etc, so it just throws the paint on there, industrially.
If it was a $100, id say yeh grab it, but at 600 ish, you can buy a compressor and a quality spray gun that will give a perfect finish.

Re: Earlex spray unit
I have a HV5000, one can buy different needles for it. It does not have a spray pattern or size adjustment. I found it did an OK job, but ultimately I got a QS-125WB and a compressor and have been much happier.
Re: Earlex spray unit
I've never seen one of that type of unit fit for anything more than painting the fence or barn.
The only time I've seen a somewhat positive review of these type of units has been from people with little to no spraying experience, and while they may be happy with their results, there's no way in the world I'd be happy with them. And your fella's work I feel deserves far better than that.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
I think we were hoping that it would save space, if it was any good.

I thought the same thing! That is why I now have both an Earlex and a compressor\sprayer setup. I still use my Earlex around the house.Peter Young wrote:Thanks everyone for the comments.
