Cuba anyone?

Post by Keith B » Wed Sep 28, 2011 4:48 pm

I am new to the forum and wish I'd found it long ago. Very helpful and some great work on display.

I have recently travelled to Cuba with a Cultural Exchange group of musicians. I am currently making acoustic instruments and my reason for joining the tour group was to find out more about Cuban luthiers - what they do, how they are operating and how us Australians might be of assistance with instrument repairs, ideas, materials etc..
I am trying to locate luthiers who may be interested in creating a cultural link with Cuban musicians, music schools etc. to share expertise - and maybe have a holiday in Cuba (very highly recommended).
Any suggestions as to the most effective way to contact interested luthiers :?:

You might have better luck posting on OLF where cdn or us luthiers , or spanish luthiers might be of help. MIMF OLF and a few other forums have more intl flavour, violin forum.ca etc etc.
